I am a newbie and recently attended a sales promotion by eSignal.
I am quite skeptical after I learned that the software is based on Gann and
Elliott stuff since most of the trading books I read so far say a lot of
negative things about it. I tried to Google and what I found was tons of
those Spam selling all the pirate software. How annoying! This software also
highly promoted by those trade magazines.

I am open minded while maintain an attitude of healthy skepticism.
Anybody here an advocate of the software Advanced GET or Elliott.
I would like your view on both.

No flames please.

That's *exactly* what it was - a sales promotion. Absolutley anybody can
take any indicator whatsoever, selectively choose some historical data and
make it look like it's the greatest thing since trading began.

The only thing that qualifies for serious consideration is a tool that can
be shown in real time to be profitable, given proper money management which
is somewhat of a subjective thing. Those ESignal seminars can be held during
the trading day, and even if the lecturer uses a demo account, it can be
seen whether the tool works or not, and the lecturer can describe in
real-time what thought processes (if any?) are occurring.

If a tool works so well as the lecturer describes, ask them why they don't
trade it themselves and make money that way, instead of the glitzy fast-talk
historical demos to sell the software instead.
