The current option chain for DIA shows two calls at the same strike
prices:

DAWCQ.X, Strike 121, with a current price of 1.86 and
BQQCQ.X, Strike 121, with a current price of 2.55

A pair like this exists for every price at or above 105.

A quick explanation would be appreciated.

BQQ are the quarterly LEAPS that have been converted to regular options.
Prices are essentially the same as the DAW contracts for Jun Sep and Dec. I
don't know why the Marches have different quotes.

This may expose me as a total newbie but is there a dividend amount in
the price?

DIA have 2 expirations:
3rd Saturday
End of March - Q1

so the cheaper is the 9 day expiration

Thanks for both of your help. I knew options normally expire on the

DIA have this new thing called (end of) Quarter Expiration or
something like that. Not LEAPS. The Quarter Expirations expire at
the end of a quarter. So one Mar DIA is a 3rd Sat. (9days) and the
other Mar is end of Q so 23 days. That's it approximately. Try the
CBOE or the OCC for the skinny.
