Was reading up on these SPDR's,
and how they approach segmenting the S&P into 9 strategic areas of investing -
SPDRs.
http://www.spdrindex.com/performance/
but then....
http://news.morningstar.com/etf/Lists/ETFReturns.html
As Ed mentioned...
Quote:
There are 9 SPDR Select Sectors. Together they make up the S&P500.
Materials Select Sector SPDR (XLB) is leading the 9 by a wide margin,
Utilities Select Sector SPDR (XLU) is in second place.

I little thing - the acronym -
I could see the "SP" maybe for the "S&P",
but what about the "DR" ?

I rode that up, 2nd highest XLU, from 55 a few weeks ago. Saw it at
55 day after the 400 point drop, said no way - and loaded up. Sold
out half at 57 and the rest recently when it hit 60 on hostage
issues. I'd like to do that more, because I it was very much fun.

I think XLR hasn't done well because there is no XLR.
