I'm just curious if dividends are being automatically added (as was
originally planned with these Yahoo! portfolios) or not (it seems
really primitive to have a system that can't add dividends
automatically). Vanguard reports a rate of 5.36% for the REIT index
fund (VGSIX).
Looks like the markets have all recovered quite quickly. So what
happened to all the discussion from a week of fluctuating behaviour? I
bought more when things were down (just luck, since my DCA hit about
the lowest point).
I don't know what'll happen tomorrow nor do I really care, but I can
say that all the thousands of dollars I "lost" on paper (which scared
the hell out of my wife) have come back and then some. Funny, eh?
Teaches you how life is such a roller coaster.

I am having a problem using the automatic dividends. Maybe it's
because this is a transaction account and not the other type... |
