Fannie Mae (NYSE: FNM) was created by Congress in 1938 to promote home
buying to Americans; Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE) was created in 1970 to
expand the secondary market for mortgages. Combined, the two own or
guarantee approximately $5 trillion of mortgages which makes up nearly

University of Michigan Mid-July Sentiment came in at 56.6 compared to
reading in June at 56.4; University of Michigan Mid-July Current Index
came in at 69.5 compared to reading in June at 67.6; University of
Michigan Mid-July Expectations came in at 48.3 compared to reading in
June at 49.2; University of Michigan 12-Month Inflation Forecast
increased by 5.3% compared to reading in June of an increase by 5.1%;
University of Michigan 5-Year Inflation Forecast increased by 3.4%
compared to reading in June of an increase by 3.4%.

U.S. June Import Prices rose 2.6% compared to consensus was an increase
by 2.0%; U.S. June Non-Petroleum Import Prices rose 0.9%; U.S. June
Petroleum Import Prices rose 7.4%; U.S. Import Prices rose 20.5% on the
year setting a record high; U.S. Import Prices from China up a record
4.8% on the year; U.S. May Trade Deficit came in at $59.79 Billion
compared to consensus Deficit at $62.70 Billion; April Trade Balance
revised to Deficit of $60.50 Billion from Deficit of $60.90 Billion;
May Exports came in at $157.55 Billion at an increase by 0.9%; May
Imports came in at $217.34 Billion at an increase by 0.3%.
